Windmill Development Group was launching the presentation center for their Zibi community project in Ottawa, Canada. The much-anticipated community project was already rumored to be an exceptionally unique community, hinting towards the future of property development in Ottawa. Our goal was to design a presentation center experience that further this thinking and reflected their innovative reputation.
Due to the fact that the presentation center was so highly anticipated – over 300 people had requested a tour for the launch date – our main goal was to create an experience that would both delight guests, providing them with as much information as possible, and also manage the flow of traffic.
We decided to set up digital kiosks throughout the showroom space, allowing guests to walk through a guided tour of the properties digitally. This would also minimize the need for sales staff.
To enable guests to talk property information with them, we would provide each of them with a RFID-powered card. Whenever they were to come across information they wished to save for later, such as floor plans designs, amenity information or full digital brochures, they would tap these RFID cards on the kiosk touchpads, automatically emailing the information to the address they registered.
In order to provide Zibi presentation center guests with an immersive experience, our UI/UX developers designed a custom application specific to their needs. This included registration information for personal profiles, a personalized interface for each profile, property galleries, interactive virtual tours, emailing capabilities and language recognition for both English and French.
Through the launch of our RFID powered presentation center experience, centered around the digital kiosk, we were able to launch Windmill Development Group’s most successful presentation center to date.
Despite the surge in guest attendance, they were still able to minimize staff attendance through kiosk automation, cutting major costs. They were also able to streamline the sales process by providing each potential investor the ability to create profiles from inside the presentation center. Windmill was able to monitor the activity, following up with potential leads on floor plans they favorited, right through the application.
